Our next science unit was investigating Magnets. We worked in pairs and Morah gave out various items for us to make predictions about. Each pair experimented to see if the item would stick to the magnet. Kindergarten learned that not all items made of metal will be pulled by the magnet. Medals need to contain iron in order for the medal to attract. While we experimented, we kept a chart and recorded our findings as we went along. We put the close pin in the middle of whether the the magnet pulled or did not pull it. The reason was because there is a metal piece on the pin. If you placed the magnet on there, then it stuck. If we put magnet on the wood part of the close pin, then it did not attract to it. Other objects we experimented with was a can, paper clips and crayons.
