Our Journal Writing

Kindergarten finished their handwriting workbooks and have moved on to writing in their journals. We started drawing pictures and writing a few sentences about it. The students know that sentences start with a capital letter and end in a period. We have learned to go back and edit what we wrote by making sure all of our letters are facing the correct way and to sound out the words before we write them. The students often use our word wall to learn how to spell a word they are trying to write about. We will continue working on our writing skills and even have the opportunity to write our own stories.
