Ariella G's Daddy came to visit and read, The Sandwich Swap. The book is about two best friends that each bring a sandwich to school for lunch. One has a hummus sandwich and the other has a peanut butter sandwich. Each girl thinks the others sandwich is unappealing and unappetizing. One day, they come out and say exactly that to each other. This causes a big argument amongst them. However, one day they each decide to taste the others sandwich and realize it is actually quite tasty. The lesson brought down in this book is to always try something before deciding whether you like it or not. Mr. Goloborodsky had the children make a hummus sandwich as well as a jelly sandwich (being we have peanut allergies in the class) to see which they liked better. What a treat!
