Kindergarten went on a trip to visit The Historic Richmond Town located in Staten Island. We were greeted by our tour guide who showed us through the town and read the book, Charlie Needs a Cloak by Tomie dePaola. After she was done reading the book, the students all had the opportunity to try on a cloak! Don't we all look great?
The guide then showed us how to spin wool and sew. We also had the opportunity to get to see a loom. A loom was a device they used to weave clothing. Kindergarten spoke about how living today is very different then living many years ago. We had such an educational and fun time!
